Main functions

Collect, sort out, analyze and disseminate information on ecological industry and environmental protection.

Provide technical assistance to enterprises and individuals engaged in ecological planting, breeding and processing, mobilize the international community to invest and support the development of ecological industries.

Provide advisory services to member units on eco-industrial policies and plans.

To discuss major issues in the field of ecological industry, assist governments in formulating relevant codes of conduct and regulations for the development of ecological industry, and strengthen international exchanges and cooperation.

We will help governments in developing countries formulate policies and strategic plans for the development of ecological industries and provide technical assistance.

Promote environmental protection and sustainable development. With the increasing pressure of population growth, the further development of social economy and the continuous improvement of the degree of intensification, and the acceleration of urbanization and industrialization, the natural environment and human settlements will be under increasing pressure. How to protect the environment and provide safe material products for the society is an increasingly serious problem.

International poverty reduction and poverty alleviation. Provide information, hold various professional meetings, hold training courses, provide expert consultation and promote new technologies.

Species protection and development. Species are the basic components of nature, with important economic and scientific values, and are the important wealth shared by mankind. Biological species provide food, clothing, medicine and daily necessities for human beings. A variety of species is an indispensable part of the ecosystem. The disappearance of some species may lead to the imbalance of ecological balance, or even the collapse of the entire ecosystem. The crisis of species will eventually lead to the crisis of mankind. At the beginning of 1980, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) published the World Natural Resources Protection Outline, calling for concerted global action and joint efforts to protect species. At present, the loss of biological species resources is serious, and the basis for the protection, development and utilization of species resources is poor.
